My name is Clay Wirsing, and I am a California based engineer with 8 years of experience working in shipyards. I’ve worked in three shipyards - two major shipyards in the United States and one in Canada. I have worked on new construction and repair of aircraft carriers, destroyers, submarines, auxiliary supply ships.

I created U.S. Maritime Action to bring more excitement to maritime and its vital roles for our economy and defense, and to help shape public policy that makes our maritime domain as efficient and effective as possible. I want to increase the number of shipyards in the United States and see our country build more ships for the navy, domestic, and international flag fleets.
